Law Clerk Opportunites In Delaware's Unified Family Court

   Family Court has seventeen positions for a judicial law clerk in Delaware’s statewide Family Court system for the 2020-2021 appointment term.  Delaware is one of the few states to have a unified Family Court.  The Court’s comprehensive jurisdiction covers all areas of Family and Juvenile Law.

   Family Court law clerks serve judges who preside over the following types of cases

ï‚·    Child dependency/neglect and abuse
ï‚·    Divorce including property division, and alimony
ï‚·    Termination of Parental Rights/Adoption
ï‚·    Child custody and visitation
ï‚·    Juvenile delinquency/expungements
ï‚·    Domestic violence crimes
ï‚·    Crimes against children
ï‚·    Guardianship
ï‚·    Child support
ï‚·    Protection from Abuse

TERM: September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021
SALARY: Currently $51,726.00
LOCATIONS: New Castle County (Chief Judge + 10 Judges), Kent County (3 Judges),  
and Sussex County (3 Judges).
